Black History Month – February 2025

February marks Black History Month, a time to reflect on the contributions of Black individuals throughout history. John Jermain Library is proud to celebrate these achievements and share stories that empower, educate, and inspire.

From leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks to artists, scientists and everyday heroes, Black history is American history. It’s a history woven into the fabric of our nation and our communities. This month, let’s not only remember the past but continue to uplift Black voices, share their stories, and learn from their experiences.

We invite you to explore our collection of books, films, and resources that celebrate Black culture, heritage, and accomplishments. Let’s continue to honor this legacy by reading, listening, and supporting one another every day.
Here’s a sample of some of the books you will find on our shelves.
