Two Part Art Program with Ranelle Wolf, Virtual Lecture & On-Site Art Class
September 23, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

Adults
Part I: Friday, September 23 @4:30 – 5:30 pm, on Zoom | Virtual Lecture – This lecture will explore the iconic work of one of America’s most beloved artists, Georgia O’Keefe. Her tumultuous marriage to photographer Alfred Stieglitz, influenced much of her art. Steiglistz encouraged O’Keefe to look at her subject matter up close, in macro. Her abstract nature paintings of flowers, rocks, clouds – have been interpreted as highly sexualized, but O’Keefe rejected those characterizations throughout her life.
Part II: Wednesday, September 28, @11:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Library | Art Studio Class – This hands-on art class will focus on the artist Georgia O’Keefe. Participants will look at flowers under magnifying glasses to gain inspiration. Using acrylic paint and paper, participants will create their O’Keefe-inspired works to take home under the supervision of Ranelle Wolf.
Registration here once for both parts starting on August 15
The first part of this program will take place on Zoom. The second part of this program will take place in the Lower Level Program Room.
