Open to teens & adults
Tough Topics is a film and discussion series at John Jermain Memorial Library in coordination with the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of Sag Harbor UFSD. This series aims to pair films that tackle difficult issues with open discussion, and provide a safe space for parents and teens to think about and discuss these issues.
This February, join us for the thought provoking film, Loving [PG-13, 123 min]. It tackles the topic of inter-racial marriage and the groundbreaking Supreme Court decision of 1967 that overturned state laws prohibiting interracial marriage. Afterwards, there will be a discussion with moderators, including Lora René Tucker, LMSW, CASAC II, regarding the issues presented in the film.
