The History of Immigration: A Legacy of Conflict

March 24 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Free

As a nation of immigrants, we do not always find it easy to welcome newcomers. From our nation’s first years through today’s new restrictions, for every wave of immigrants, whether French, Irish, German, Eastern European, Italian, Asian or Central American, we have both opened our arms and turned our backs, often at the same time. Martha Potter explores this unsettled history and how the nation and region have flourished despite two centuries of conflict. Registration required. Limit 40.
Sunday, March 24, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Registration information: Registration begins March 1st at 10:00 am. Register online using this calendar.
