On-Site: Plain Sight Project Discussion with Donnamarie Barnes and David Rattray
December 11 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
Donnamarie Barnes and David Rattray, co-directors of the Plain Sight Project’s study of slavery on Long Island, will talk about a new year-long collaboration with the Sag Harbor Cinema and their effort to comprehensively identify and tell the stories of all of the region’s enslaved persons, as well as free people of color. The aim of the Plain Sight Project is to encourage a richer and more accurate understanding of American history, as well as look at the origins of divisions that continue to plague the United States today.
This program will take place in the Lower Level program room.
