Virtual: East End Libraries Present “It Came From the Sewers” with Thomas Hynes

October 27 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Free
alligator with open mouth

For adults. New York City’s long-standing fascination with alligators in the sewer has been referenced across popular culture from Thomas Pynchon to Sharknado. But there’s actually a bit of historical truth to this tall tale. New York City’s sewer has been — and still could be — home to the occasional alligator. Join Thomas Hynes, author of Wild City: A Brief History of New York in 40 Animals, to learn more about the urban legends of even wilder New York City.

This is an East End Library Event with Westhampton Free Library.

Registration is required to receive zoom login information.
