The Community Journal Project
Become a part of Sag Harbor history by participating in the JJML Community Journal Project! This project is a collection of journals and sketchbooks for adults, teens, children, and families of the John Jermain Library to write about their life experiences, express their creativity, and share their stories with the Sag Harbor community. Check out a journal and write, sketch, collage, or more in accordance with the book’s topic. Finished journals will circulate just like regular library books, and eventually end their journey in the JJML archives.
All content must be kept G-rated, and returned books will be quarantined for a minimum of four days before being reviewed and made available for check-out again. Read the full participation guidelines here, which is also attached to the inside cover of each book.
Browse our catalog for the journals by searching “John Jermain Memorial Library Community Journal Project” in a keyword search (or see the list here). You can check out a journal or sketchbook during a Grab & Go library appointment, or call us to reserve one for Plaza Pick-Up.
