On June 16th, 2021, a new transit service operating within the Town of Southampton was launched. This on demand service offers public transportation with no schedules or designated routes. Riders will be able to request a ride when and where they need it.
Rides can be booked through the Suffolk County On-Demand App which is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The first five rides are free, then the service costs $2.25 per ride. Rides can also be booked over the phone and paid for by credit/debit card, or in cash at the Hampton Jitney Office. Suffolk County On-Demand will operate weekdays from 6:30 am – 8:30 pm.
