JJML now has an app! Called “John Jermain Library” in the app stores, it’s available for Apple (iOS) and Android phones and tablets on Apple and Google Play. Input your library card barcode and password in the “Manage Accounts” section of the app and get started. If you’ve never used a password, visit www.johnjermain.org and click the “my account” button in the top left corner to create or change your password (email us at info@johnjermain.org for help).
What Can You Do in the App?
- Check your account: Review and renew checked out items, check your holds, access your digital library card for in-person check out, or use mobile checkout.
- Browse the catalog: Place holds for your next book, DVD, or other items via a keyword search (example: title, author, subject, etc.) for the first 20 results from our catalog.
- Check the Events Calendar: Search and register for library events. View in calendar or list view, or search for an event by name.
- Visit our Digital Resources: Link straight to eBooks, e-audiobooks, movies, music, education databases, and more.
Stay Safe with Mobile Checkout
Feel like browsing at the library, but want to stay extra safe? You can use the mobile app to check out your own items- no need to visit the circulation desks or wait on a line! Come in, browse, make your selections, and then use the app and your phone’s camera to check the items out to yourself. You can email yourself a receipt, or view your ‘checkouts’ in the app afterwards to confirm all your items were scanned (to use mobile checkout, make sure to grant the app permission to use your camera).
