Among the many COVID-19 related scams are website and app based malware, email phishing, phone scams and social media pleas. The CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) advises people to “ Exercise caution in handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, and be wary of social media pleas, texts, or calls related to COVID-19.”
