50 New e-books added to our Reference Collection

The library has recently acquired 50 new Reference Books in e-book format.    This collection of reference books covers a wide range of subjects including Biography, Law, Literature, Medicine, Science, Social Science and more.  You can link to them from our home page .  Just click on GVRL (Gale Virtual Reference Library.)  You can print, email and download articles and even translate them into 11 languages!  This e-book collection has “Read Speaker technology”  which allows text to be read aloud to users and downloaded in MP3 format.   The collection is available in the library and will soon be accessible 24/7 from home with any internet connected computer.

Update (1/27/12): The GVRL is now available to John Jermain Library card holders from any computer connected to the internet. All you need is your library card barcode and account password.
