Candidate Petitions for Trustees of the John Jermain Memorial Library are now available at the Library and at the School District Office on Division Street, Sag Harbor. Prospective candidates must obtain 25 signatures from registered voters of the Sag Harbor School District and submit the completed petitions to the District Clerk by 4:00 p.m. August 25th in order to be included on the ballot for the September 28th Trustee Election and Budget Vote.

Four Library Trustees positions are up for election. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes each will serve a full three-year term commencing January 1, 2011 and expiring December 31, 2013. The candidate receiving the fourth highest number of votes will fill the vacancy on the board created by the retirement of Trustee Tippy Ameres, with a term commencing on October 1st, 2010 and expiring on December 31, 2011.
